Dorothée Queyroux


Dorothée is a founding partner of Voltaire and is primarily focused on property located in the UK and specialises in both developments and site acquisitions ranging in size from £3m to £800 million. Dorothée has experience with mixed-use developments, prime residential, and numerous hotel projects. She also arranged funding for the acquisition of substantial sites in London.

Dorothée has arranged numerous investments packages including industrial, retail and leisure portfolios. Over the past few years, she has been particularly active in the fields of student accommodation and social housing arranging both debt and equity for private companies and listed funds.

She began her career in real estate with a prominent London real estate broker. 

Dorothee graduated from ISC business school in Paris. During her free time, she enjoys consulting interior design magazines and running after flea markets & art exhibitions.

James Thomlinson CeCM


James is a founding partner of Voltaire with a background in arranging complex real estate transactions. For a number of years James specialised in arranging structured investment facilities for requirements across all asset classes.

During the last few years James has increased his focus on facilitating equity injections into both development and investment transactions – often as part of arranging the entire capital structure. He arranges finance on behalf of some of the most dynamic mid-sized developers in London and throughout the country using his strong relationships with a broad range of senior, stretched-senior and mezzanine lenders.

James began his career in real estate finance with CLP Structured Finance where he placed both investment and development requirements. Immediately prior to the formation of Voltaire James was valued for achieving significant success for clients throughout the downturn.

James received a BA degree in Politics with Economics from Loughborough University and has a Certificate in Commercial Mortgages. He enjoys golf and travel.

Brian Dunk


Brian retired from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in April 2011 having spent over 25 years advising HNW and UHNW individuals on taxation matters. Before joining PwC he spent 10 years at HMRC where he worked on the administration of Inheritance tax at the Capital Taxes Office and subsequently at Head Office where his responsibilities included advising Government ministers in relation to capital gains tax policy matters.

Brian regularly features in the Citywealth Top 10 Leading Accountants awards. His particular areas of expertise include:

  • General capital tax planning (CGT and IHT)
  • Planning for non UK domiciled residents
  • Offshore trust planning
  • Planning for tax efficient private company sales
  • Use of financial instruments and structured products for individuals
  • Brian has an in depth knowledge of the various ways in which efficient tax structures can be applied to, and benefit, real estate transactions and ownership structures.

Brian enjoys travel and golf.

Andrew Hosford

Director - Head of Bridging

For over two years Andrew has been responsible for short term and bridging finance via the dedicated Voltaire Bridging offering.

Andrew has developed key partner status relationships with a select number of mainstream short term lenders. In addition he has access to a suite of private and family office sources enabling him to assist with the most complex of requirements. Andrew has been recognised by a variety of industry bodies as being one of the leading brokers of short term finance in the marketplace.

Prior to joining Voltaire Andrew spent 6 years advising on the launches of multi-million pound leisure businesses in London and around the UK.

Andrew received a BA and a BSc degree from the University of Leeds. He enjoys golf, football and travel.



A career banker with 30 years’ experience of providing property finance loans, including investment and development facilities.

Colin commenced his career in 1979 with HSBC where he spent 7 years in various clerical positions gaining general banking experience. In 1986 he left to join the specialist property funder, First National, where he spent 11 years providing investment and development loans. 

He has subsequently held various senior property finance positions including: Head of Property Finance at Israel Discount Bank, Head of Development Finance at Bradford & Bingley and New Business Director at specialist development finance lender BLG.

Colin has a wealth of experience in the sector, including mezzanine and equity situations for property developments.

Eleanor Julien

Senior Analyst

Eleanor joined Voltaire Financial in August 2014 and primarily assists the partners with the origination, analysis and financial modelling of prospective transactions. Eleanor joined Voltaire from Sellar Property Group, one of the UK's leading private developers of commercial property, where she assisted the team with a variety of projects including The Shard.

Eleanor has an undergraduate degree in Sociology from the University of Surrey. She enjoys travel, cooking and fitness.

Simon Page

Creative Director

Simon is Creative Director at Voltaire Financial.

Among his achievements is the conception and development of an industry-leading database which allows Voltaire to track and organise lenders and investors as well as offering a vast array of process-optimising tools that ensure Voltaire's team can fully focus on the execution and delivery of funding solutions.

He has also been responsible for the introduction of sophisticated financial models that enable the Voltaire team to devise some of the more innovative funding structures in the industry.

Simon has a BSc(Hons) in Applied Mathematics from Queen Mary, University of London. He is an avid tennis player and film addict.



Max joined Voltaire Financial in October 2015 and works closely with Andrew Hosford ensuring the smooth running of short term loan applications. New to industry but possessing all the lateral thinking gained from his degree necessary to navigate obstacles in the execution process Max is an asset to the Voltaire Bridging capability.

Max graduated in 2015 with a BSc degree in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry from The University of Nottingham. He enjoys music, travel and fitness.
